Senior Web Developer

Job Description:
This role will work on developing customised web and e-commerce sites for the agencies clients. The role will also get involved with No Code/Low Code projects that entails building Apps for various start-ups. The role is a senior role and the Web Developer will guide technology, software and full stack choices. It will also be required to lead junior developers and the SEO teams when appropriate and applicable.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Maintain existing websites for prestigious clients/customers.
- Develop new web and ecommerce sites for JSE listed clients/customers that are cross platform enabled (web, mobi, other)
- Development of front-end interfaces according to approved designs, from initial commit through to final deployments.
- Developing backend architectures
- Build No Code/ Low Code Apps
- Creating and maintaining servers and database functionality
- Recommend and advise on Full Stack technology options.
- Partner with DevOps, DevSecOps and Scrum teams to scope, deploy and enhance web and ecommerce sites.
- Project Manage and lead project teams (offshore/outsourced)
- Constantly research leading No Code/Low Code, Web Full Stack Development technologies
- Designing and developing API’s that enable site integrations.
- Research and recommend low cost and/or open-source technology options
- Build databases, middleware layers for web and ecommerce sites.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience building web and/or ecommerce sites
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing on PHP, .Net, Java/JavaScript, NodeJS,
- Extensive experience with Bootstrap, Json, Git, GitHub, CPanel, KonsoleH, Tailwind CSS, NPM & Webpack
- Experience with React/VueJS, NextJS, NodeJS based build tools
- Experience with working with any of the following Retool, Bubble, PowerApps, AppSheet, Slack
- Experience with No Code/Low Code solution architectures and Web/Ecommerce Solution Architectures
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of cross-functional teams
- Proficient use of version control across various code bases
- SEO experience beneficial
